Mr. Mister -Total 80's band

In Chapter 9 of Mix Tapes and Stolen Tests, I write that the boys are listening to the song Broken Wings by Mr. Mister. At first, I wanted to write about the band and the song. While there are Wikipedia pages devoted to each, there isn’t much new information I could add. 

Mr. Mister came out of nowhere to be a huge band for a year. “Broken Wings” wasn’t the debut single, but it became a number one song. The cool thing was that this and their next single, “Kyrie” had religious imagery and concepts, but it wasn’t “hit you over the head” with it. 

Mr. Mister was a 1980s band to the word. They had synthesizers and it wasn’t very electric guitar rock. They made videos for their songs. The band came out of nowhere and had two back to back number one songs. Then they disappeared. It's odd that they had this big debut, but I couldn't tell you what became of a followup album. By 1990 the band broke up. As 1980s as “Broken Wings” is, I hope it holds up for you because it’s an enjoyable song.

As there isn’t much to say about Mr. Mister, I will present to you a list of songs that have Mister in the title next week.
