China Kantner
The daughter of Grace Slick and Paul Kantner was pushed as the next generation of star. She was on MTV at sixteen years old. There were articles about her. The pop generation from the 1960s gave the world this new star.
She didn’t do anything for this success. She was born for it.
To be fair, she wasn’t an airhead that was given everything and told the world how great she was. She went to school like other teens. She had summer jobs (on tv). You wanted to like her. If someone thought her parents were just hippies from Woodstock and she would be a junior hippie, you would be wrong. She was into the current (at the time) things. She worked just like anyone else. She wasn’t as rebellious as her parents. China was a 1980s teen.
In spite of the parents and the work ethic, she never hit those high heights of fame. It was rumored that she went on air drunk at MTV. According to one site, she did develop an alcohol addiction.
She kept on though.
China had bit parts in several tv shows like That Jim Belushi Show.
China was smart enough to see that fame wasn’t the end all be all. She retired and went back to school.
Today she is happy in her non-famous life. She studied Christian Theology. She is healthy and living well.
