Mix is looking at Schuyler’s past. He seeks his glory in the past glory of the town. His best friend also seeks glory. He wants a shortcut wherever it is. Who had the best reason and method? What happens to the past?

In Mix Tapes and Stolen Tests, what is achieved by cheating? Who wins and who loses? Who can be trusted? When it all came out, who lost?

Mix Tapes and Empty Buildings find Mix exploring the abandoned factories in town. He is too close to see it, but the town is depressed and businesses closed. The business world thought closing factories and moving to corrupt countries or depressed areas that paid its people terrible was good practice. Stockholders got rich and as far as Schuyler, who cares?

For three books, Mix’s father tries to find his place in the new world. Mix is too young to see it, but it’s there. Can he come back and find a place? Will Schuyler come back?
