Murder at Babes!!!!

Dream Dancing is a murder mystery. Someone has killed a dancer at Babes Go-Go. The murder was so cold that the killer just left the body behind. In this scene we find one of the murdered dancers.
Please enjoy this excerpt from Chapter 4.

Behind Babes Go-Go Bar, a homeless woman rummaged through the garbage pails lining the back wall. Gnats and flies going in and out of the pails didn’t stop her. She reached down inside the black sock she wore on her left leg and scratched the bug bites as she went from pail to pail. Flies buzzed in and out of the Dumpster next to her in a furious swarm. She looked in.
The stooped, elderly woman used a stick to push a plastic garbage bag out of the way, because she was too short to reach very far. A hand poked out from under a plastic bag. The woman stumbled back but couldn’t scream. She wobbled into the bar to find someone.
“Hey,” yelled Eli, the young, muscular bartender. “You get out of here. Take your flies with you.”
“There’s someone in the garbage ,” she muttered.
“Yeah,” he said, tapping the plainclothes cop seated at the bar. “Probably a friend of yours.”
She turned around and walked out as they laughed at her.
“You want to go get the homeless out of our garbage pail?” Eli said to the cop, who was still drinking his coffee.
“I’m here to find out about that missing girl,” the cop replied. “I don’t think the girl’s roommate wants to know that I’m drinking coffee and chasing homeless people out of the garbage.”
“Just say you’re looking for clues,” Eli said. “They were supposed to empty the bins yesterday, so it shouldn’t be too bad out there.”
The gray-haired, beer-bellied policeman walked outside and saw the homeless woman poking around a garbage pail. He saw flies swarming around the Dumpster and went to that. He immediately saw the hand, and when he pushed garbage away, he uncovered the torso of a woman wearing a Babes T-shirt.
He ran to his cruiser and radioed for backup. Within ten minutes, two cruisers were in the parking lot around the Dumpster. As the homeless woman watched, three cops pulled the body of a young woman out of the Dumpster. Eli recognized the woman. It was Buffy.
“Good thing they didn’t empty the garbage yesterday after all,” the cop told Eli.

“Yeah, good thing.”
