Is Abby safe from Penn?

This is another small part of Chapter 16 from Dream Dancing. In this segment, Abby is worried about an ex-boyfriend is stalking her. Her new husband doesn't know or doesn't care.
What will happen to Abby? Is she safe?
You can find out by reading Dream Dancing, which is available at Amazon.com.  Here's the link:

Mark was on the couch with his arm over his head when Abby got home. His hair was flat from wearing a cap to protect his face each day that the Indian summer continued through the end of September. She kissed her fingers and brushed his face. Then she glanced out the front window and noticed a car driving out of the parking lot. The car moved slow enough that she could see the driver. It looked like Penn driving. She crouched down and looked at Mark. Penn could’ve followed me all day, she thought. He knows where I live. Mark rolled over on the couch and snored.
Abby squeezed Mark’s arm, which woke him up. He looked startled to see her until Abby told him she had just walked through the door.
“I was awake waiting for you.” He looked at his watch. “I must have lost track of time.”
She went to the kitchen. “You’re asleep every day when I come home. Can’t you stay awake one day?”
He jumped off the couch and followed her. “I have to work early mornings. It’s tiring out there in that sun at six in the morning. I have a business that might be closed down, and I’m trying to make sales.” He stood in the doorway and watched her stare out the windows. “I have news for you. I always work s####y hours, and I sleep through much of the day. What’s the next holiday? Thanksgiving? You can forget about me staying up all night then, too. The supermarkets are open on holidays now, and some pricks in some headquarter office in wherever decided that I have to work that holiday. Of course, he’ll be home, but I work s####y hours every day—and holidays. I also get to work on my supposed days off if I really want commissions. Don’t give me s##t about this,” he yelled. Then he turned and walked out of the kitchen.

She opened the refrigerator and slammed it back shut. Penn was out there, and Mark didn’t even know, and she couldn’t tell him.

Big news for next week. Dream Dancing will be on sale soon. Please check back and I'll tell you all about it.

Till then, I hope you're enjoying the book.
