Things to do in Tinton Falls New Jersey

In chapter 9 of Dream Dancing, Mark says his parents live in Tinton Falls. To readers outside of New Jersey, that town may not be well known. Here's some brief information about Tinton Falls.

Tinton Falls is relatively new as far as names go. The town itself was settled in 1665. The name Tinton Falls came into being in 1975. For the years in between, the 15 square mile area was known as New Shrewsbury.

15 square miles doesn't sound very big, but it is packed with things to do. For readers and writers the library is on 664 Tinton Avenue.

The town has several parks. Atchison Fields, Hance Park, Kiva Park and Liberty II and Pine Brook Park.

If your traveling to the shore areas of Belmar, Long Branch or Asbury Park and need a place to stay, you can try out Courtyard Hotels, Quality Inn, or the Red Roof Inn. All these places are located right off the Garden State Parkway.

Hungry? You could go to Reynas Mexican Restaurant, Jimmy Pesci's Taste of Italy, Kanji, La Risa Chicken and Grill, the Pour House, Asia Star Cafe or Woodys Ocean Grille.

I'm not endorsing any place here, just letting you know they exist.

That's a lot of business, but there is a residential area.

Tinton Falls may sound small in area, but it's big in things to do.
